Tiny Tip: Jewelry Packaging

Show your jewelry packaging in your product photos
– Don’t hide it – Pretty jewelry box shots boost conversions like crazy.
A huge percentage of jewelry is purchased as a gift, and the box is often the quiet little voice that says:
“Ohhhh, you feel special!”

When someone’s scrolling, hesitating, weighing up whether your piece is “gift-worthy” enough, seeing beautiful packaging removes friction instantly. It answers unspoken questions:
- Will this arrive looking like a proper gift?
- Will I need to buy a further box?
- Is this going to feel impressive when unboxing?
Studies in e-commerce consistently show that products with packaging imagery convert 20–40% better than those shown alone. Jewelry in particular performs at the higher end of that range because emotion + presentation matter just as much as the piece itself.
No box shown = uncertainty.
Box shown = confident.
So don’t tuck your pretty little packaging away. Photograph it. Feature it. Let it do some of the selling for you. For some customers, the box is the final nudge from “I’ll think about it” to “Add me to cart.”
And honestly…if your packaging is super gorgeous, why on earth would you hide it people?

Where do you get your jewelry boxes from?
Ahh I get asked this a lot 😊
I’ve been collecting jewelry suppliers for years (jewelry boxes, pouches, printers, beads, findings, wires, crystals – all the good stuff) and my boxes are from one of my favourite suppliers.
These days I keep them all in “My little black book of jewelry suppliers” – it’s what became my Supplier Guide.
If you’re ever on the hunt for lovely jewelry suppliers/vendors – you’ll probably find it handy 💛
