I’m Sarah Blake

I’m a self-confessed bead addict who’s been creating and selling jewelry online for just over twenty years.

My brand, Oh So Cherished, has been my heart and soul for two decades. I started back when eCommerce felt a bit like the Wild West, and I’ve watched it grow, change, speed up, and occasionally lose its mind. It’s been full-on, chaotic, exhausting at times… and honestly? One of the best adventures of my life.

For years, I ran a seven-figure gift and jewellery business at full tilt. Warehouse. Team. Multiple sales channels. Very little time for holidays, friends, or the luxury of a proper Sunday. So in 2023, something needed to be realigned. I realised I’d created a successful business, but I’d also built myself a very efficient hamster wheel.

So I downsized 😮.

Now it’s just me again. A quieter pace. A home studio. Jewellery I genuinely love making. Fewer moving parts, more breathing space, and a pace that feels human.

The business was aligned so my husband and I could start working towards our long-held dream: splitting our lives between the UK and Australia, where he’s from. Family, balance, and freedom began to matter far more than intense hustle.

Jewel & I was born in 2025 as a place to share everything I’ve learned along the way. It’s where two decades of experience in the jewellery and gift industry get gently distilled into hopefully something useful, honest, and encouraging – especially if you’re just starting out.
