Don’t just be discovered, be remembered.
email marketing for jewelry makers

For most jewelry makers at the beginning, sales feel random and slow. A busy week, then…tumbleweed! You tweak photos, change keywords, SEO, try a new platform, run a sale, try ads, and you still feel like you’re not gaining consistency. You’re working hard, but nothing feels secure or repeatable.
And here’s the thing – it doesn’t have to be that way.
What you want isn’t more traffic – it’s more reliable sales.
You’re not struggling because your work isn’t good enough, you’re struggling from constantly trying to be discovered. New posts, new platforms, new algorithms… always starting again, always hoping today is the day someone notices my pieces. It’s draining right?
The real shift comes when you stop chasing discovery and start building a simple system that helps you to be remembered, because consistent sales don’t come from being seen once, they come from staying connected.
So, if there’s one piece of advice I’m genuinely glad I followed at the very start of my business, it’s this:
Start building your email list from day one people!

Your email list as a jewelry maker will become your most valuable asset, not overnight, but over time. It’s what allows you to stop relying on algorithms, platforms, or luck, and start monetising your business in a far more consistent way. Quite simply, the money really is in the list.
That means creating a small little ‘offer’ of some kind, something useful, something rather tempting for your future customers – giving people a reason to stay connected, think discounts, free delivery, a monthly free gift, a peek behind your scenes 🤗
I use MailerLite to create simple landing pages that do one job: collect email addresses in exchange for my ‘little offer’. You don’t need a fancy website. You just need to start small.
Because this is one of those things your future self will quietly thank you for…again and again!
Final thoughts
If you’re reading this and thinking “I get the idea… but I wouldn’t know where to start”, you’re not alone!
I’ve put together a simple, beginner-friendly guide called Be Remembered – it maps out the whole process step by step for beginners. From setting up your first email list, to creating a small offer, to getting your first subscribers (even if you sell on Etsy or at craft markets) it’s perfect for any maker.
No jargon. No overwhelm. Just a clear path forward – so you can stop trying to be discovered and start building something that’s remembered.

FAQs
What is an email newsletter?
Think of it less like “sending an email” and more like sharing a small, beautifully designed update with people who love your work. An email newsletter can include photos of your latest pieces, a story from your bench, a new launch, or what inspired you that week – all laid out in a pretty format that feels very you. It’s your own little space, delivered straight to someone’s inbox, without fighting algorithms.
Do I need a website to start one?
No. You can start with a simple landing page that collects email addresses – even if you sell on Etsy or at craft markets.
Do email newsletters still work?
Email marketing can deliver around 8% conversion rates on average – way higher than social media or paid ads. Some reports show emails converting up to 15% of recipients into customers with really engaged audiences.
Is this only for ‘big’ businesses?
Not at all. In fact, it’s most powerful when your audience is small. A handful of people who care beats thousands who scroll past.
How often do I need to email people?
As often as feels manageable. Weekly or fortnightly is great – consistency matters far more than frequency.
