How to use wire guardians
A simple upgrade that makes handmade jewelry super strong

Many beginners thread their beading wire straight through a jump ring and call it a day.
Completely normal. We’ve all done it!

The problem is…that tiny jump ring slowly rubs against the wire every time the bracelet moves. Over time, the harder metal edge acts a bit like sandpaper on your wire. Little by little it wears it away…
until one day…ping…your bracelet snaps!
Enter the small but mighty Wire Guardians (also called wire protectors)…love them!

It’s a tiny horseshoe metal piece that acts like a protective saddle for your wire. Instead of the jump ring rubbing directly on the beading wire, it rests neatly in the curved groove of the wire guardian.
You simply thread your wire up one side of the little horseshoe, around the curve, and back down the other side. The jump ring then sits against the sturdy metal protector instead of your delicate wire.
The result?
A bracelet that lasts way longer as it becomes really strong, and has a professional finish that makes people think you’ve been doing this for years 🤗
Why not give them a go and see how you get on.
Finally, wire guardians really shine when used with a flexible multi-strand wire. I always use Beadalon 49-strand, it bends neatly around the protector and gives a beautifully clean finish.
Enjoy!
