Show & Tell

I remember when my son was at baby school and had to do Show & Tell. Well, today people, it’s my turn.

Look what I made! A ruby bracelet. Real rubies!

I had these little gem beads left over from a product I used to sell, and they’ve been sitting in my drawer for about five years. So last week I finally made myself a bracelet – which I rarely do!

And I LOVE it.

They’re not finely cut, highly polished rubies. They’re much more raw and rustic looking, which I actually really like. But get them in the light and they sparkle like mad. The photo doesn’t really do them justice because it was a very glamorous quick snap on my iPhone while sitting at my desk.

Anyway, after making mine I realised I still had some rubies left. So naturally, I made another one for my mum.

She doesn’t know yet. Although, she reads my blog. So she does now! 😬
