The Case of the Sterling Silver Keyring

This week I found myself on trial. Well, metaphorically at least.
A customer emailed to inform me that my Hallmarked Sterling Silver St Christopher keyring she’d bought was not, in fact, sterling silver and that I was being fraudulent.

Yikes! Those are some bold accusations for a Sunday.
Her evidence? Well… she said so. Therefore, it must be stainless steel 🤨
There was just one small problem.
It is sterling silver.
I explained this, along with how the piece is made and hallmarked, but she was having none of it. She’d already reached her verdict.
Even after all these years, running a business still manages to throw situations at me that I never quite see coming… and really, what can you say to that?
Anyway. Court adjourned.
My week of taxing customers continues 😕
